About Pokédle

What is Pokédle?

Pokédle takes the daily‑puzzle format made famous by Wordle and applies it to the world of Pokémon. Every day at midnight, a new puzzle drops for each of the seven games, and the same puzzle is shared by everyone playing that day. Your streaks and stats are stored locally in your browser; nothing to sign up for, nothing to install.

The seven games

• Draw That Pokémon, draw the daily Pokémon from memory in 60 seconds. Your masterpiece gets scored and saved as a trading card.
• Guess That Pokémon, a zoomed‑in image zooms out with each wrong guess. Classic who's that Pokémon energy.
• Pokémon Cry Quiz, listen to the cry and name the Pokémon in six tries.
• Pokédex Trivia, read a Pokédex entry with the name redacted and identify the Pokémon.
• Higher or Lower (BST), pick the Pokémon with the higher base stat total across 10 rounds.
• Spot the Shiny, find the real shiny among four recolors of the same Pokémon.
• Route Quiz, six Pokémon spawn on the same route. Pick it.

Which Pokémon are included?

All 1,025 Pokémon from Generations 1–9 are in the puzzle pool for the image, cry, trivia, BST, and shiny games. The route quiz uses spawn data from Generations 1–3.

How the daily puzzle works

Each game picks its puzzle from a deterministic hash of the date and the game's id. That means everyone in the world plays the exact same puzzle on a given day, and a new one unlocks at midnight in your local timezone.

Who runs Pokédle?

Pokédle is an independent fan project, built and maintained by a small team of Pokémon fans. It is not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., or The Pokémon Company. All Pokémon names, sprites, cries, and Pokédex entries are the property of their respective owners; we use them under fair use for non-commercial, educational, and entertainment purposes. The site is supported by Google AdSense, no account, no tracking beyond standard analytics, and game results stay in your browser. For anything else, see our contact page.
